10:38 pm	summer's such a bummer. and NO, i'm not gonna go on with a bunch of other words tha' rhyme with summer. lol. i'm going to make a list of things i miss about school. oh, and remind me to download that list of 1d memories that ariel made :)) she's posting it in our y!groups, lovers, so check it out. but not now, cause it's not posted yet :P i miss: - waking up at 6:00. that's nothing though, i used to wake up at 5:15. that's why i'm kinda late these days :) - rushing back to get my id - looking for HIGH socks - walking up to our classroom, especially from GUADIX. argh. - 1d, having aircon so early in the morning! - my lockerrrr :) - GA. gosh, what would a monday morning be without GA? - ms. calma, every single freakin' morning [was she EVER absent?]  trying to crack us up with her jokes :)) come on, you gotta appreciate how she wanted to be a good adviser. - ms. arceo, and her hairstyle evolution. :)) and the way that she'd know that i was trying to avoid getting called. - ms. delRo, and her UHHHHHHH's. very very funny. and omg, can you believe that she gave me a VG for my month-late photo transfer project? - mrs. perez, and her um, liveliness? even though she was kinda plastic, my grades in eng are pretty good, and SHE NAMED HER KID AFTER ME. beat that :)) - sir tony. hell, i got an S in my trime, and i'm happy. CL was great this year, no matter how low my grades are. he's kinda like, the kid that put together that puzzle that our gs cl teachers handed us. and we didn't even know what that final picture looked like until now. - sir v, omg. totally funny. a little biased. guilt-tripper. but GOSH this man is SOOOO funny. i wouldn't mind having him as an adviser next year or something. but not a teacher, nope. - sir capili, and his hairy arms? or the fact that he totally thought i was one of his best students :)) and though he was totally moody, he was funny. in a retarded way. - sir gary. HEY ict was funny. and fun. you know. in a completely 'important' way. hey, now i know how to connect or whatever word you use my worksheets in excel, and how to make my own website. visit it, but the music is like, still london bridge or something. - sir nebs! FUN FUN FUN. best MUSIC EVER. EVER. guitar is totally fun. only when you know how to play it, but yeah. :)) hey, my grades were stellar. and he knew my name early on. - miss rosos, carolyn, rosos. :)) she gave me high grades :) but i hated the fact that she told my sister about that EPISODE in the lab - i miss the LAB. so cold and not very good smelling. and the high lab chairs. - LAB GOWN. and how i'd forget it every single friday. -ERROL omg. he helped me cook my tapa in the last cooking day :)) and his POINTY SHOES :)) he was funny. and gay. the latter is what really matters. - blazon, all the deadlines. omg, what i do to get my name on the mast thingy of the SCHOOL NEWSPAPER. but i probably won't try out next year, i'll join sine suri. and miss zara, my blazon teacher. cause i can't remember that word you use to call them if they're your teacher in your club. OH MODERATOR. - sir simon, substitute english teacher and moderator for blazon. such a funny guy. and he like, emails us blazonettes every day. he even asked if he could call me at home -.- woah. - miss mitch, and her caring-ness. i guess. she was nice. - i miss the stalls in the canteen. yeah, this early. food at home is too healthy :)) PASTRY CART, especially. OH the yemas, and the pop tarts :) love them. - sitting near the posts in the covered walk, or near the registrar's office :) fun. - bathroom breaks. not officially mine, more of ana's or max's but it was fun having a schedule? :)) - the 3rd floor bathroom - the bathroom near the chapel - the bathroom near the gs principal's office - CL JOURNAL - lab reports - IW :) i feel like i should still be researching for them - the AIRCON. never a warm day. always nice and cold. - EATING in the classroom. and third trim was amazing because mia has the best food. i mean, bacon wrapped steak? OMG. teh best. grin peas! :)) and other stuff. yema and shiz. - SANA MAMA, i love that. sayang i wasn't there for the final presentation. - dirty ice cream, especially before meetings. either on bread, or party cone. at times, sugar cones. - SABPAG, IBONG A, and LITFOLIO practices/meetings :) lots of fun. - waiting for sir nebs in the third year staircase - FRESHNIGHT. of course. - MTG? :)) some saturday mornings were just unforgettable. - preparing for all those class plays - listening to people like alex and gabby sing songs :) - my 'i-want-abs-now' workout with mia :)) HAHA. - omg, seeing maffi, mia and jamie run around and make silly jokes about things :)) no weekday morning would be complete without it - early dismissal on the first wednesdays of the month! - using the computers during lazy blazon meetings - tsina's mess-ups :)) - ma'i's sloppy kisses and busty hugs =)) - denise, her 'se**' and her fling with ana :)) - ariel, and her god sent drawing that replaced MEOW's. - krystle, and her um. 'UNREASONABLE reasoning'. - maffi, and her deliciously spontaneous stories. - ana, and her bluntness :)) - justine, and her uh. how would you call it. ignoranance? her FUNNY ignorance. - erika, and her uh. arceo-ness? and how she would tolerate me, especially during ict :)) - mady. i miss mady. :( come back, we need more distractions during class :P - agie, and how she'd been the one that entertained me when i used to sit at the back. - maxine? i don't know if i'd miss maxine :)) her 'modeling' in the ibong a bloopers, and her uhm. issues with girls who gave her low grades in the evaluation :P - marla, and her. hmm. 11:05 pm	today was basically, way fucked up. okay, first. my fucking camera was missing when i fucking had to give it to the guard so he can fucking sign the slip. then, i was almost fucking late. third, i left my hot chocolate and lab things in my fucking car. fourth, i forgot to study for fucking cl, and didn't finish reading for the fucking socstud exam. fuck. i cried today :( which is, really, quite sad. just for the first two minutes of homeroom, though. i was at the clinic for about 3 and a half hours today. first 90 minutes after iw, then the rest was cause of lab. i forgot to get my fucking lab gown from my sister, and i was screwed. i found out, though, after all that pa-drama, that we din't need the STUPID FUCKING LAB GOWN. oh, and i missed the cl test, but still had to take socstud. i did kinda okay, i guess. and then i pretended to get the camera from my non-existent yaya to be able to use the stupid camera freely. it worked. and we had lit folio meeting. unproductive, but hella fun. will post pictures in my multiply. :) and no, we did not watch elijah. thanks, alex and erika, for bringing your laptops ;) and now my brother is in the fucking hospital, and my sis and i are left all alone at home. with that huannapo. or like, whatever. OH SHIT. yeah, i have to wake up early tomorrow, which kinda sucks. but i'm downloading music, which makes me happy cause the world is sinning with me. oh, and i have nerds. just needed to let all that shizzak out. and my fucking two week diet is over, and it's just the first day. 9:05 pm	HEY 1D!! yeah this lj will be used for lit folio updates instead of actual blogging because our y!group is full until the month of february. just some updates :) -  you can submit until monday [ if you don't do it voluntarily, we'll force you to submit] but it'll be late na. latest not late submission is on 12Jan'07, 11:59 pm. - approved iw's will have a post it stuck to it. these contain extra suggestions that will aid you in your endeavor make your work less-- you know. - revised works: submit a soft copy through email [gramma.rawr@yahoo.com] or if you can't, through floppy disk or cd. no excuses or i'll punch you. - photographers and artists: the arts/visuals editors will meet with you and give you your assignments :) if you need a slip, tell your editors so that they will be able to list down your names for our own reference, and ask sir simon for it yourself :P - layout editors, create a template for our folio-- consider the "window" design, the font, and the overall estimated length of the articles. - the different editors MUST assign a leader/representative. hold your own meetings, mmkay? that person will be the one to talk to if you have any questions, and if she can't answer them herself, she will convey your questions to me. peace out, girl scouts, j. DEAR 1D, guys, mechanics for the LIT FOLIO. :) ----- Grand Festival Contest Dynamics High School English First Year to Third Year (IW Folio Contest) CONTEST MODE / LEVEL: The elimination stage of the contest will limit the entries to the top five which will qualify for the final stage of the contest. THEME:     A Bountiful Harvest: A Collection of Literary Insights             [HAHAHAHAHAHA. i bet sir simon thought of this.] Parts: I. Planting II. Tending               [uh.] III. Harvesting The folio title should be retained, used verbatim; however, the title parts may be rephrased as long as the ideas of the terms are retained. Mechanics: 1. All classes must form an editorial team composed of the following members: a. Editor-in-chief (1) b. Associate editor (1-2) c. Visuals/Arts editor (1-2) d. Layout editors (2-5 or more) e. Scribes (2-5 or more) f. Artists (any number) g. Photographers (any number) The English teachers will orient the class on the roles/duties of the editorial team. A student need not be a part of the editorial team in order to contribute to the project. However, those who are a part of the editorial team may get more credit, especially because they have bigger responsibilities. At the same time, however, much is expected from them. Their grades will depend on how well they will perform their tasks. 2. Each member of the class should contribute 1-2 IW projects to the folio. The concerned members of the editorial team shall aid the class members in choosing the IW projects that can be included in the folio. Only IW’s from sessions 1-8 can be included. 3. The folio will have three chapters or parts. The projects that will be included should be arranged and organized according to the themes or units in the folio. The students are free to interpret the theme and arrange the IW’s according to the sequence that suits their theme interpretation. 4. The classes will be given a maximum of three (3) encounter periods to hold meetings and organize IW’s for their folio. The students are welcome to organize meetings outside the English class if they think that they need more meetings to accomplish the task. Meeting 1 The English teacher orients the class regarding the project. The class appoints or elects the editorial team. Plans are set. Advise students to start choosing IW’s for the folio. Meeting 2 Brainstorming and start of IW collection Meeting 3 Brainstorming on Folio layout and continuing of IW collection Note: Meetings 2 & 3 should have been held by January 26. 5. The editorial staff should remind the class members that the IW’s to be featured in the folio should be revised. This means that corrections found in the original IW should be changed prior to its inclusion in the folio. The students are the ones responsible for correcting their IWs. The editorial staff will only proofread and do the minor editing. Teachers will carefully monitor this because they don’t want all the work to be done by the editorial staff. 6. The classes are allowed to embellish their works by adding drawings, comic strips, photos, and collages to their folio. The artists and photographers in the editorial team should take care of these. 7. ICT INTEGRATION eww gary :( : All the chosen IW’s and other artistic embellishments will be laid out by the editorial artists. The IW’s should be scanned or encoded. The layout artists would have to apply their knowledge in layouting to do this work. 8. Each class is required to submit three copies of their bound folios. All the bound folios MUST look the same. One copy will be given to the class, one will be kept by the HS English area, one will be given to the IMC or to the Archives Office. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING: The same set of criteria will be used for judging in the elimination and final rounds of the contest. Take note that the TEAM WORK score will be given by the respective English teachers because they are the ones who will directly oversee the accomplishment of the project. The entry that will qualify in the final round will have the same TEAM WORK grade. CONTENT (Appropriateness of Chosen IWs, Adherence to the Theme)             20% INTERPRETATION (Cohesiveness of the Content, Meaning Presentation)         20% MECHANICS (Grammar, Submission Punctuality, Adherence to Contest             20% Rules, and Citing of Sources) CREATIVITY (Resourcefulness, Balance of Visuals and Text, Layouting, etc.)     20% TEAM WORK (Leadership of Editorial Team, Participation of ALL class                 20% members, Submission of 1-2 IW’s of every class member, class productivity and decorum manifested in allotted class meetings, equal and fair distribution of tasks) TOTAL:                                                                                                                                     100% MECHANICS: 1. All folios should be bound and printed out. The type of binding depends on the class’ creativity. 2. Each folio should have 30-50 pages only. Use back-to-back page numbering whether the page is blank or not. (This is so because other creative formats may be used for the folio.) The pages can appear in color or black and white. The biggest page size is 9.5x12, while the smallest page size is 4x6. 3. All class members should contribute 1-2 IW projects that adhere to the given folio theme and folio parts or chapters. 4. The classes should prepare a 1-3 paragraph introduction for their folio. Each part should also be accompanied by a 1-paragraph explanation. The introductions may be written by one person or by different persons. The writer may or may not be a member of the editorial team. 5. Submission of ALL THREE FOLIOS is on February 1 ( Thursday) until 4:10 p.m. The Top Five Entries will be chosen and later on announced at the following General Assembly, February 5 (Monday). The Top Five Folios will be chosen regardless of level. This means that slots in the Top Five are not allocated for every level. Choosing will be based on the given criteria. Only the Top Five Folios will be displayed on the Student Festival Day on February 9 (Friday). 6. INCENTIVES: The folios are MAJOR academic requirements. Thus, the folios will get grades corresponding to their quality in the final round or not. Naturally, the TOP FIVE FOLIOS and the WINNING FOLIO will get much better academic incentives and the prestige of being included in the Student Festival Exhibit. Accordingly, poor or non-participation in the accomplishment of the folio also entails a poor mark in the subject.
